The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) is committed to develop engineering talents and technology specialists for the current vibrant industry and the community. We strive to prepare graduates who can engineer solutions that are mindful of the global, economic, environmental, and societal impacts. FET team is composed of highly engaged individuals with a dedication to student success, research excellence, and innovative engineering solutions. In the era of 4IR, our society and industries require integrated solutions from engineering and technology to create value through state-of-the-art, efficient, and sustainable technologies. Therefore, our curriculum is specially designed to cover emerging areas of technology, innovation, and sustainability. Our mission is to provide high-quality learning experience for our students through our innovative activity-led learning approach, industrial guest lectures, real-life projects, experiments and access to industry-standard units, equipment packages, and computer programs.
BEng Chemical Engineering
Studying a chemical engineering degree, you will learn to apply maths and science to find creative solutions to complex problems and bring exciting innovations to life. By providing our students with a range of opportunities, from one-year placements to internationally recognised qualifications, our aim is to make our graduates highly employable.
BEng Energy Engineering
“Energy Engineering” would be a promising bachelor programme to be offered as a response to the aforementioned needs in coming years. The focus of this programme is mainly related to renewable energy resources and the associated technologies while energy efficiency and the role of fossil energy and its contribution into the future energy-mix are also covered. It is believed that the near-term energy outlook is a mix of Oil, gas, and renewables. Students learn knowledge, thinking skills, subject-based practical skills, skills for life and work as global citizens.
The Faculty of Transport and Logistics
The Faculty of Transport and Logistics is unique in Oman. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of logistics, transport and supply chain management which are key components of the Oman 2040 vision and strategy. Our evolving research capability has resulted in both Research Council and industry funded projects related to the emerging needs of businesses in Oman and our researchers collaborate with others, both in Oman and globally.
Our approach to teaching and learning is student-centred. Support is available for students to engage effectively in the learning opportunities we offer through first-class learning facilities on campus and the online library and Virtual Learning Environment. Our undergraduate programmes offer year-long placement opportunities with key logistics and transport players in Oman enabling students to have quality work experience to assist them in their pursuit of a rewarding career upon graduation.
BSc Logistics with Supply Chain Management
The BSc in Logistics with Supply Chain Management is one of the few logistics degrees which combine technological knowledge with management and business that meet the challenging logistics market needs.
BSc Logistics with Transport Management
The BSc in Logistics with Transport Management is one of the few logistics degrees which combines technological knowledge with business and management in order to meet the needs of the logistics industry. Upon successful completion of the programme, students earn a degree from Muscat University.

Employability is at the core of our philosophy to ensure vibrant, highly skilled, and agile graduates who are equipped to meet the increasing and challenging demand of both local and international job markets. Through its local and collaborative capacity, the Faculty of Business and Management ensures research-led teaching across its programmes combined with professional bodies engagements. The faculty takes advantage of the University’s state-of-the-art facilities and latest platforms for learning technologies and educational resources, offering an all-encompassing learning environment where the focus on the student and their support throughout the educational journey.
BSc Accounting and Finance
Our Accouting and Finance BSc programme aims to offer students the opportunity to gain a strong foundation across the main areas of business and management. It also strongly stresses on employability to ensure that graduates are equipped with the required skills for a competitive and dynamic job market. A compulsory placement year ensures students further develop their personal and business skills. The programme covers core areas of strategy, accounting, marketing, and organisational behaviour. The programme also aims to enhance student’s project management and research enquiry skills by gathering and analysing data pertaining to a research problem / business challenge related the field of study.
BSc Business and Management
The BSc Business and Management programme The Business and Management degree programme would equip students with a broad knowledge and appreciation of issues faced in the world of business. It aims to equip students to become competent, solution-oriented, and effective communicators as business and management practitioners. They will gain the analytical, technical and interpersonal skills required to understand, analyse and address the challenges faced by today’s companies.
MSc International Business Management
The MSc International Business Management programme is designed to prepare students to operate within an international business setting or within companies and jobs where an understanding of international business is an asset. Hence helping them to develop a sound understanding of international business contexts and to make integrative links across various disciplines.
