Muscat University is committed to supporting students who may face financial challenges during their academic journey through a structured Financial Aid system designed to promote equal educational opportunities.
Types of Financial Assistance Available
- Bursary Provision ( (Reduction))
- Bursary Provision ( Exemption)
- Monthly Financial Allowance (OMR 50 for one academic year, subject to eligibility and approval)
- Graduation Gown Fee Exemption (for Social Security students)
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are assessed based on a fair and structured evaluation process, considering:
- Family monthly income
- Number of dependent family members
- Academic performance
- Health or medical conditions
- Housing situation
- Availability of additional financial support like benefits provided by Social Protection Fund and others
Application Process
To apply for financial aid:
- Complete the official Financial Aid Request Form :
- Submit all required supporting documents (e.g., income proof, social security certificates, medical reports, etc.)
- Applications are reviewed by the Financial Aid Sub-Committee
- Committee recommendations are forwarded for final approval by the VC office.
- Students are formally notified of the decision
