Biography

Dr. Ahmed Zain is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Transport & Logistics at Muscat University, where he also serves as BSc Programme Coordinator, Deputy Chair (Faculty Committee), Faculty Advisory Board Member (Internal), and Academic Advising Focal Point. He is currently a thesis instructor with Liverpool John Moores University (UK). Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer at University Malaysia Pahang (UMP/UMPSA), a Post-Doctoral Associate at the Institute of Business Excellence, UiTM (Malaysia), and a Research Associate at MISI, MIT Global SCALE Network.

His research focuses on healthcare warehousing, lead-time reduction, and lean supply chains using simulation and decision analytics. He has published across Emerald, Inderscience, Elsevier, Springer and MDPI outlets, and serves as a reviewer for several indexed journals. Recognition includes the CITREX Gold Medal (UMP) for “Lean Warehouse Simulations—A Leap towards Warehouse 4.0.” He has an h-index of 15 with ~1,300 citations.
