Biography

Dr. Murid Hussain is currently serving as a Director of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Muscat University, Oman. With over 23 years of academic, research, and leadership experience, including more than 17 years post-PhD, he has made significant contributions to chemical engineering, catalysis, and sustainable energy technologies. He earned his MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from KAIST, South Korea, followed by a Post-Doctorate at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Dr. Hussain has published more than 250 scholarly works, including 207 SCI-indexed journal articles, with over 10,000 citations, an H-index of 54, and a cumulative impact factor exceeding 1,330. Recognized among the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University and Elsevier (2020–2025), he has received multiple fellowships honors and awards for research excellence. He currently serves as Associate Editor of Energy Exploration & Exploitation and sits on editorial boards of leading international journals.
