Biography
Dr. Farrukh Jamil is a Senior Lecturer in Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Muscat University, Oman, with over 14 years of academic, research, and industrial experience. He holds a PhD in Chemical and Process Engineering and has established himself as a leading researcher in renewable energy, biofuels, catalysis, and carbon utilization. Recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in Energy (Stanford, 2023, 2024 & 2025), Dr. Jamil has published more than 135 research papers, including over 80 in Q1 journals, with an h-index of 43 and more than 5,600 citations. His research achievements include securing over USD 400K in funding, leading projects on waste-to-energy conversion, and developing biofuels tested at commercial scale. He has received multiple awards, including Oman’s National Research Award and Best Paper Awards at international conferences. Dr. Jamil continues to collaborate globally to advance sustainable energy solutions.
