October 2016: Ph.D. in advanced signal processing, department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Loughborough University, UK. Thesis title: “Robust Variational Bayesian Clustering for Underdetermined Speech Separation” The research focused on enhancing the separation of speech signals in reverberant environments through improved statistical models.

Between Cairo University, the German University in Muscat and MU, I have spent more than 11 years teaching. The courses I taught were mainly in the engineering and mathematics disciplines, such as communications and signals for electrical engineers, information theory for IT students, and mathematics courses both pure and applied. Currently, I teach business analytics and quantitative methods in supply chain management in addition to mathematics for engineering students.

Besides my academic experience, I worked many years as a senior engineer and researcher in the field of automation, machine learning and signal processing. Additionally, I have been involved in various consultancy projects in Oman in engineering and project management.
