Dr Nicolas Hubbard has a strong teaching and research background in the field of logistics, supply chain management, air transport and tourism management. He has published widely in academic journals and supervised more than fifteen students to PhD completion in these fields. He has been invited to present at several international academic conferences and has taught in several continents. Nicolas joins Muscat University from the University of Huddersfield in the UK where he held the post of Subject Leader in Logistics, Transport, Operations and Analytics.
As Director of Programmes in the Faculty of Transport and Logistics, he is passionate about supporting Oman in achieving its aspirations to become a leading logistics player in the region. He works with industry to identify the skills needs of the sector and develops relevant courses and initiatives to support these needs. He continues to undertake research in the fields of education, procurement, air transport economics and regulation as well as sustainability in the tourism sector.
